A car accident reveals the truth about the paternity of a child. A doctor, the story's main character, is facing a terrible dilemma. On the one hand his professional identity obliges him to present the parents the truth. On the other hand, the announcement of the loss of a child is itself such horrible news, that the doctor hesitates whether it is morally right to announce the true identity of the child at such a time.
