The Aarhus Short Film Challenge is an international event that is centred in Aarhus, Denmark. Participants have 7 days to make a short film that is up to 5 minutes long and based on two randomly chosen topics. The films are then evaluated by a jury of three film professionals.
The Autumn 2012 edition theme was Time, and the jury members were: Richard Raskin, Associate Professor Aarhus University, Department of Information and Media Studies, World’s foremost short film expert; Carsten Holst, general Manager at Filmby Aarhus and Den Vestdanske Filmpulje at Filmby Aarhus, producer of more than 30 titles, has worked with Lars Von Trier; Merete Stubkjær, Producing Chief and Producer at Deluca Film A/S; and Ann Pedersen, Script editor and director, covering various genres within Tv and film, ranging from BBC to feature films, documentaries and short films.
