kodály method
We produce short videos of Hungarian and international performers/orchestras' live performances according to a crisp visual idea. It's not about music videos in a traditional sense, since sound and picture come into existence at the very same moment in key with a strong aesthetic concept. Kodály-Method lays the emphasis on the interpretation. The main goal of the videos is to be musically and visually personal, simple and unique, always focusing on a special side of performers. We also try to inspire musical cooperations, connecting for ex. electro-pop (Zagar) with a firefighter brass band, or rock’n roll (Turbo) with a student choir in a joint performance.
The interactive surface www.kodaly-method.com provides space for the gesamtkunst substance which is updated every month with new videos. With this growing audio-visual tableau we want to make our way to the audience between interactive and television channels.
Kodály-Method is an audio-visual project created by director Bálint Szimler and cinematographer Marcell Rév with producer András Pires Muhi, soundengineer Péter Benjámin Lukács, and production managers Nóri Alföldi, Sári Péli.
