An eye doesn't forget - 2008

The eye records and the brain memorize, but memories with the time fade away. Is it possible to remember the first days of life and to never forget the first time when the sea is seen? In the realization of the short film I used old familiar 8mm films and I tread them with acid and enamel. I wanted to create a worm out image as a perfect metaphor of memories. An eye doesn’t forget is an experimental film. My purpose was to represent the memory’s intangibility and the difficulty of the mind to recall the past even less our eyes “have seen” and “have record” every moment of life. I wanted to create a worn out image as a perfect metaphor of memories. In the realization of the short film I used old familiar 8mm films and I tread them with acid and enamel. The video is self-product and the budget was less then 200 euro.
