For me as a director, there’s nothing more inexhaustible and more exciting topic than the topic of human relations. I’m intrigued that behind emotional relations chaotic and exalted at first sight, often very “rational” concepts or axioms are hiding, that make even the purest human relations impossible.

As a director I am mainly intrigued by relationship between man and woman in particular. For me all this belongs to the category of drama, but not in its heavy form filled with pathos, but in the genuine simplicity and fallibility of things. This is the experience of revelation, when we recognize our own everyday story and smile at it for a moment.  I am trying to show this by emphasizing little details we usually go by, but which are often grotesque or even shocking, when looked at more closely. For me the most important are the strong moods and atmospheres, the little gestures and above all the artlessness of the tone.

Relations between neighbors are rich and mirrored by the eyes of the kids. The kids experience the reality of the everyday life silently.

The main characters of "To love this way" live in relationships, and we join in their story as their love starts to fail. The film shows the events of a single day, when a masseuse arrives to the house and dissolves the blockage in their souls using a special technique. We try to chang the others, sometimes even obsessively, and sometimes we find it is ourself that has changed. To what extent can we be accomodating in a relationship, and is there a point beyond which we give ourselves up?

In the wee hours of the morning, an elegantly dressed woman gets out of a Cadillac, sweetly says goodbye to a straner, and goes home. She goes home to find the usual mess and her partner chein-smoking at the kitchen table. The tone is tense from the start, but they try to control themselves until certain sentences are uttered that irrevocably change their relationship. The film is the story of this intense debate that has irreversible consequences.
