Az általam választott téma a délszlávháború egyik legkegyetlenebb fejezetét mutatja be, az 1991-es Vukovári csatát, melyhez Mozart I. szimfóniájának Andante tétele szolgáltatja a zenei aláfestést. A filmet Stop Motion technikával készítettem el. A film díszletét Körei Sándor tanár úrral együtt építettük. A történet egy család tragédiáját mutatja be ahol az édesanya keservesen keresi fiát a szétlőtt városukban, ahol szerb paramilitáns egységek hajtanak végre etnikai tisztogatásokat. A film emléket állít a háborúk legártatlanabb áldozatainak: a civileknek.

A film nemzetközi premierje a 69. Cannes-i Filmfesztiválon volt 2016-ban, ahol a Cinéfondation szekcióban versenyzett és megosztott harmadik díjat nyert.

Álombeli utazáson megy keresztül főhősünk Rudi. Egy napsütéses délutáni séta a virágos mezőn, ami folyamatosan alakul át, miközben néhány rovar, vagy éppen egy üveg sör keresztezik Rudi útját, mígnem egy viharnak köszönhetően elrepül a fellegek fölé ahonnan átzuhan egy másik világba. Sétáját folytatva, itt is találkozik néhány élőlénnyel, majd elönti a folyó. A víz mélyén felgyorsulnak az események, az egyszerű utazása átmegy egy kaotikus absztrakt látomássá.

A történet három, stílusban nagyon különböző karakterről szól. Akik az egy nap
megpillantanak egy szép lányt. A három szereplőnek a célja, hogy társalgásba kezdjenek a
kiszemelt hölggyel. Mind három szereplő a kiszemelt lányra pályázik így konfliktus alakul ki
köztük. A kirobbanó konfliktust viszont nem a való élet pályáján játsszák le hanem egy képzeletbeli kétdimenziós világ szintjén,egy számítógépes játék karaktereié válnak. Mivel különböző karakterekről van szó, másban erősek, eltérő szinteken eltérő eredményeket érnek el.
A virtuális küzdelem kiélezett és látványos. A harc végén a földön fekvő játékosok még a kudarcokat heverik ki a vereség után, "sebeiket nyalogatják", mikor odalép hozzájuk a lány.
Itt már visszaérkezünk a realitásba. Rájuk néz, majd az odagurult almát felveszi, beleharap
kimegy a teremből.
A történet pixillációs technikával szándékozom létrehozni.

My little animation, The salt is about a personal story that happened years ago and had a huge impact on my life, I lost my grandmother who was like a second mom to me. In my animation I tried to animate these feelings of grief that I had for a long time, that was like eating your food without salt. This is the meaning behind the title of the animation.
The main character of my animation is my grandfather, who lived alone after the funeral and I tried to express the loneliness we all had by making him the center of attention, the life he continued to live, trying to find meaning to go on living without the love of his life.
I tried to make my animation colorful, because in spite of it being a sad story, I wanted to put it in contrast, the story and the visual of the animation.
The Salt animation was made in 2015.

Mint a fővárosba frissen felköltözött debreceni, az elmúlt másfél év minden hétvégéjén kétszer tettem meg a Budapest-Debrecen vonatutat. Az utak nagy részét a körülöttem ülő emberek megfigyelésével és megrajzolásával töltöttem, a filmen pedig ezekből a rajzokból elevenedik meg pár. A dialógusok is a közelemben ülő emberek társalgásai.

Az animáció fő témája az egyén lázadása a hatalom ellen, de ugyanakkor foglalkozik a különcség témakörével, és a hétköznapok hőseivel, valamint utal az emberiség túlkapásaira a környezettel szemben.
A cselekmény utópisztikus világban játszódik, szereplői vízcseppek, akik emberként viselkednek. A kezdő jelenet helyszíne egy olajfúró telep, ahol feltűnik a főszereplő, az olajfúró társaság egyik dolgozója. Hősünk új megbizatásra várva kapcsolatba lép a cégvezetővel, azaz BOSS-szal. Meghökkentő új megbizatást kap: a rivális cég vezetőjét kell megölnie. Azonban, miután belevág az akcióba, rejtélyes okokból felrobban a teherautója. Telefonhívást kap a BOSS-tól: a riválisok rájöttek a tervre, és a főhöst akarják ártalmatlanná tenni. Ő természetesen nem hagyja magát, teljesíti a küldetést. A feladat elvégeztével visszatér a BOSS-hoz, aki eközben arra a következtetésre jutott, hogy főszereplőnk „túl sokat tud”, és ezért meg kell szabadulni tőle. Főhősünk fejében ekkor összeáll a kép: a riválist a haszonszerzés végett kellett megölni, de ezzel a BOSS nem fog megelégedni, egyre telhetetlenebb lesz, már semmi sem lesz szent neki, ez végül teljes káoszhoz és a bolygó pusztulásához vezetne. Úgy érzi, neki kell megelőznie a katasztrófát, ezért a zárójelenetben végez BOSS-szal.
Az animáció üzenete, hogy nem baj ha utólag vesszük észre hogy tévedtünk, a fontos hogy megpróbáljuk helyrehozni és arra sarkall, hogy ne féljünk felvenni a harcot, ha meg kell védeni azt, amiben hiszünk.
A számítógépes rajztáblán kézzel rajzolt animáció több, mint 1400 különálló rajzból áll. Gábor Balázs rajzolta mindet, és zenéhez igazítva összevágta, Erőss Sándor és Babos-Máthé Réka útmutatásaival, segítségével és ösztönzésével.
Balázs a Kreakids stúdió tagja, ami egy magániskola, olyan tehetséges gyerekek számára, akik érdeklődnek a különböző iparművészeti ágazatok iránt. A stúdió évente közel 70 (4-18 éves) diáknak biztosít a térségben egyedülálló képzéseket a design, divattervezés, animáció és rajz szakterületein. Itt ismerkedett meg az animáció-készítéssel, és kapott kedvet egy saját alkotás elkészítéséhez. Ennek tervei, első képkockái 2012 tavaszán készültek, és az akkor 14 éves alkotó gondolatvilágát tükrözik. 2016 júniusában fejeződött be a munka. Kisebb-nagyobb megszakításokkal készült, ezek okai: a zsúfolt program, az elkészítendő projektek sokasága, de főleg a középiskola. 2015 nyarán találkozott az animáció alkotója és Katona Tamás, a Yesyes dobosa. Ekkor merült fel az ötlet, hogy a Yesyes zenekar írja az animáció zenéjét, amit végül meg is valósítottak.
Angol szinopszis
The plot is set in a utopian world, and the characters are water drops acting like humans. The location of the first scene is an oil drilling site, where the main character, an employee of the company, appears. While waiting for a new mission, our hero gets in contact with the director of the company, also known as Boss. The new mission is totally unexpected: he has to kill the first man of the rival company. Though, when he starts fulfilling the orders, his truck explodes due to unknown causes. A phone call from Boss says the rivals figured out their plan, therefore, the directors of the rival company are up to get our hero killed. He, of course, can't be easily intimidated and accomplishes the mission. Done with the "work", he gets back to Boss, who, in the meanwhile comes to the conclusion that our main character is too involved in the story, and they should get rid of him. Suddenly, he understands the way things work: the rival had to be killed because of money; but it won't be enough to satisfy the greed of Boss and the aspirations of Boss would lead to total chaos and the end of the world as we know it. Our hero feels that he has to act to prevent the catastrophe, therefore, in the last scene he shots Boss.

This animation film is basically a metaphor for humanity´s absolute
dominance over nature and our total exploitation of our planet´s
resources.
The opening set is a mysterious underground carriage, symbolically our
Earth, and we hastily try to get on it. While walking through, we see
(from first person point of view) different animals wearing a suit.
Like a beggar we reach out a supplicatory hand towards them and each
of animals in turn give us their goods e.g milk from a cow, honey from
a bee etc.
When we stand in front of a frog suddenly the underground brakes.
Astonishingly the frog´s head splits in two and an alien jumps out of
it and shoots us.
In the next scene, recovering from unconsciousness, we find ourselves
hoisted up by an ankle with a rope and dangling upside down over a
pit.
While the alien holds the other end of the rope the camera shows the
animals´ deploring faces behind the carriage windows looking at us and
slowly gliding away.
The scene fades out with a caption: "You never know when your turn will come"

Marko Meštrović (1972) graduated from the Painting Departments of the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1997. He has held numerous group and solo exhibitions, and began making animated films in 2000. With Davor Međurečan, he co-directed two animated films Silencium (2006) and Ciganjska (2004), and in 2008 he made his solo film project Note.

A motion comic technika frissesége és egyszerűsége inspirált arra, hogy az egyik kedvenc filmemből egy jelenetet kiragadjak és feldolgozzam. Úgy gondolom, hogy a kiragadott rész, mely az áldokumentum filmek kategoriájájába tartozik, jól párositható a választott technikával.

create short animation videos that reflect the city where they are living in. The
Lisbon Sketches is an experimental art project about connecting drawing, animation
and music. The Lisbon sketches are ideas, moods, impressions of two
foreigners about Lisbon.
Our working method is to catch places, faces, random moments of Lisbon
which are describing the city in a sensitive and intime way leaving out the
stereotypical and touristic point of view. At the same time, we are still foreigners
so the Lisbon Sketches is more about the process how we discover a city
from the main attractions till the small details of life.
We are collecting moods and ideas connecting to a place what we see, and
make a fast drawed sketch or a short music about the impression. Depending
who brings the idea the other’s role is to relfect with drawing or music. At the
end, we put together the two parts, and animate the picture - that’s how we
get supershort films, basically animated pictures with music ideas.

A short animation/visualization, done for a theater solo performance of the Bulgarian actress Maya Novoselska.
The play is based on the book ‘I am a dream’, written and illustrated by Dafina Georgieva – Ronya(1989-2003).
Lyrics of the song (also performed by Maya Novoselska) are an original poem written by Ronya.
Her drawings are used for the character design of the short film.
This, probably is the most sincere and clean project I have been part of. Working on it was a lucky chance to look at the world, through the eyes of an extraordinary clever child, with rarest talent and imagination.
Ronya’s book ‘I am a dream’, as a starting point of the project, is the proof that sometimes a short life leaves a remarkably grand trace.

In the beginning Candide is kicked out from home, sadly and unwilling he must get out of his comfortable elite environment and so he starts his wandering around the world hoping that he once again meets his love Cunégonde and his master Pangloss, who taught him to be an optimist at all costs. While he is struggling to find someone to give him a helping hand in the cold winter in the German countryside, he has flashbacks on his late bubble-life. He is soon forced into the army, then flees to Amsterdam to find a job. There he meets with his master Pangloss in very bad health condition, but he is brave enough to save him.Then they embark on a sailing trip to Lisboa, where they end up in big trouble. Pangloss seems to be executed and Candide can hardly make it to a hideout. He is helped by the old woman who cures his wounds and leads him to Cunégonde. Candide’s love for Cunégonde is the driving force throughout his journey. The absurd actions of Candide to pursue his love, including abandoning the paradise of El Dorado, committing multiple murders, and barely avoiding capture and execution several times, are mocked by the reality that once Candide can marry Cunégonde, he’s no longer attracted to her. The series then evolves to a more philosophical ending, where all three protagonists are looking for a final conclusion to define happiness for themselves after being through so many unbelievable adventures.

The animation tries to bring the polish viewer closer to his own roots, his own coulture.The clip tells a story of a girl that refuses to get married. She feels the pressure of the society. She is trying with all her strength to oppose to the pending fate of marrying a young bachelor. The clip is inspired by the polish folklore: its tales, legends, masks and its dances. I wanted to present this story in a metaphorical way, that is why I used fictional characters and built a fairytale world. Because I dance in a folk dance group, I have contact with the polish folklore every day, and a huge inspiration to the video were the vibrant colors of the folk clothes, as well as the motif of the polish folk dance. I wanted the avant-garde interpretations of the folk music played by the Warsaw Village Band to set in smoothly with the strange, surrealistic picture. The animation is a non-literal, metaphorical reflection of the story told.

Fish Boy is a teenager facing the challenges of growing up. His problems are especially severe, as he is different from all others: He is half boy, half fish. His drama is set against the background of a seemingly idyllic fishing village, where is father wants to teach him how to become a fisherman. The boy‘s struggle with the stigma of rejection takes place in several dimensions of interpersonal relationships. Ultimately, it also affects Fish Boy‘s relationship with himself.
The film combines cartoon animation with elements of 3D animation.

Hunters who hunted animals… told plenty of stories (in the region of the Tundra)… These animals could stand the hard temperature… The hunters used their shotguns while hunting the animals, but soon they had to realize that thus they damaged their fur-coats… They should wait for the winter to pass away... Hunters drew nets, trying to push the animals towards the marshes... The poor animals knew one thing: 'Rather die, than get into the swamp!'

A CD filled with love songs was circulating in my hometown Reykjavik. The story goes that it was stolen from a man by the name of Daniel C, out of his locker by four co-workers who liked the music and made copies for themselves. Nobody really knows who he is. This is an oral history that follows one mans soulful songs of love, pride and loneliness.

“Berlin without a wall is no longer as snug” – as one protagonist of this play clay animation film shall regret fully remark, witnessing the revolutionary changes of 1989 in Europe. It is a story of a bunny from Vienna who, upon his arrival in Berlin, finds paradise in the no-man’s land between the walls, as well as the love of his life, which – he hopes – will allow him to improve the genetic makeup of the crumbling aristocratic lineage he belongs to. Adapted from a children’s book written by Irene Dische and Hans Magnus Enzensberger, the filmtells the story of a recent past, which for some has brought long-awaited freedom, and for others disappointment and a longing for the former system, commonly known as ‘ostalgia’. Merging detailed realism with surrealism, Plucińska animates the mascot of the united Berlin to perversely and without prejudice look back at the events from 20 years ago.

Animation „Physical Education” shows adolescent boys during lesson of PE in school – the main idea of the form in this animation was to disuse the typical for animated movies tricks or methods – there's no metamorphosis, blending frames or unreal episodes – shortly,
I wanted to make an animation like it was recorded by camera and to make it looks like documentary movie; in making animation there's no borders, it is very easy to do „everything” - with the limits like it was recorded by a cam I resisted to temptation to, so typical for animation, allow my imagination to run wild.
The story in this movie shows boys while they are having a PE lesson – they are doing their exercies, but they are not really hardworking, they looked a little bored, clumsy, don't really know what to do with themeselves. Everything is in yellowy-creamy watered down colours. Sometimes it is possible to see little injuries or bruises on their bodies. Metaphorically it's a movie about adolescence which is for me a mix of boredom, inseciurity and waiting. Little bruises on the boy's bodies could happen during the exercies, but it can be also read like a bashful stigmas of growing up, changes which are visible for the judgmental environment
I used sport lesson for a background for adolescence problem, because PE lessons can show perfectly inseciurity of ourselves which is mounted by ordered exercies and commands. Important is also title – polish title should be literally translated in „ physically nurturing” - exactly how this lesson is called in polish schools and it can be also understands like „ physical subdue ”.

Sci-Fi Fantasy journey of a little girl with a special pet friend, a huge toad. Once the girl loses her pet ,which drifts in the sky in a form of a balloon, she is going throught different adventurous scenarios by chasing it. This is a full 3D animation music video for the song 'Hey' by Eatliz band. 'Hey' tells the story of growing up and losing your childhood innocence. Our protagonist is a lonely little girl. Due to the lack of a father figure she has embraced boyish characteristics, acting as a rascal tom-boy. Her world consists of imaginary friends such as a huge toad that never turned into a prince for a best friend, and a baloon that blows up eventually, symbolizing her childhood fantasy world. The girl moves between rapidly changing conflicts, and the clip is edited accordingly utilizing 128 shots in 03:26 minutes. Hey is Guy Ben Shetrits first independent project as a director after ten years of serving as an animator for commercials, TV programs and computer games. In addition to being a successful animator, Ben Shetrit is also the founding member of Eatliz as well as cult band Infectzia. Eatlizs first album titled Violently Delicate was released in November 2007 and received high praises from both audiences and the media in Israel. As of 2008 the album is being distributed in Germany and Austria as well. The conflicts shown in the video also reflect the directors life, divided between the animation world and the music world, between being an indigent musician who follows his own artistic path and being a high-income art director whos employed in a respected advertisment agency. Also, the conflicts reflect on his life as an Israeli trying to hold a firm opinion about the events in the middle east consecutively, for more than a month.
